class=\"ryNqvb\">In early March, researchers from the Laboratory for Fluid Power (LFT) attended the 15th International Fluid Power Colloquium (IFK) in Aachen\u2014one of the largest and most significant international scientific events in the field of fluid power.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The conference brings together leading global researchers and industry experts, facilitating the exchange of knowledge regarding hydraulic and pneumatic drives as well as advanced control systems.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> At the conference, we presented three scientific papers addressing current challenges in modern hydraulics, ranging from new materials to the cleanliness of assemblies: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Evaluating Sliding Properties of Selective Laser Melted Maraging Steel against Aluminium Alloys in Water and Hydraulic Oil <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Dr. Ana Trajkovski <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This paper examines the sliding properties of maraging steel\u2014produced via selective laser melting\u2014when in contact with aluminium alloys in water and hydraulic oil.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">3D-Printed Polymer and Ceramic Spools as Alternatives to Steel for Hydraulic Valves <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Jan Bartolj <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This research investigates the potential use of 3D-printed polymer and ceramic control spools as lightweight, cost-effective alternatives to steel components in hydraulic valves.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Innovative Approach to Cleaning and Cleanliness Control of Newly Manufactured Hydraulic Assemblies <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Dr. Nejc Novak <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A novel approach to the cleaning and cleanliness control of hydraulic assemblies is presented;<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">this process significantly impacts the reliability, efficiency, and service life of hydraulic systems.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"lRu31\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Participation in IFK 2026 reaffirms LFT\u2019s active role in the development of new technologies and our commitment to
