Various defects can occur during the surface protection application process. Therefore, all products need to be inspected visually, especially when manufacturers undertake to deliver products without defects. In order to avoid labor-intensive manual inspection of serial production, an automated control system based on 3D machine vision has been developed. A wide team of experts has developed and manufactured a sophisticated automated control device. It combines robotic systems for product handling, detection and control systems, and the most important 3D machine vision systems.
