{"id":3431,"date":"2021-09-09T10:39:43","date_gmt":"2021-09-09T08:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/web.fs.uni-lj.si\/lakos\/?post_type=project&#038;p=3431"},"modified":"2021-09-09T10:40:34","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T08:40:34","slug":"unigov","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/web.fs.uni-lj.si\/lampa\/en\/projects\/unigov\/","title":{"rendered":"UniGov"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\">@media only screen and (min-width: 1000px) and (max-width: 5000px){body.kc-css-system .kc-css-577543{width: 75%;}body.kc-css-system .kc-css-334286{width: 25%;}}body.kc-css-system .kc-css-991148{margin-bottom: 20px;}<\/style><section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-56708 kc_row\"><div class=\"kc-row-container  kc-container\"><div class=\"kc-wrap-columns\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-577543 kc_col-sm-9 kc_column kc_col-sm-9\"><div class=\"kc-col-container\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-451179 kc_text_block\"><\/p>\n<p>The goal of UniGov project encompasses the support of modernisation, accessibility and internationalisation of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Palestine, through addressing five cross-cutting aspects of governance.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Objectives of the project are to:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"type\":\"1\"} --><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Create an enabling environment to adopt decent governance, management and accountability practices.<\/li>\n<li>Establish a clear governance framework, including well-defined and clear mission and goals.<\/li>\n<li>Establish an effective governance and management structures.<\/li>\n<li>Stimulate autonomy and accountability.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen links with different stakeholders (i.e. improve participation) in strategic planning and development activities (this will reduce the gap between recent graduates and the industry).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>UniGov seeks to address weaknesses in existing governance systems across HEIs in Palestine. By establishing a comparative study with European benchmark universities, the project seeks to establish a governance framework and then adopt innovative practices to improve existing structures.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The UniGov project also aims at improving the quality of higher education in Palestinian universities because this will improve communication between universities and the labour market and\/or other stakeholders (increase participation).
