Laboratory for Machining - LABOD

The laboratory is engaged in the research and pedagogical activities on the topic of cutting processes, both in terms of optimization of an existing technology, execution of various measurements (cutting forces, acceleration/vibration, surface roughness, deformation, etc.), and the development of new/innovative cutting processes. To support this, research and prototype equipment (3D printer) and various scanning devices (3D scanning) are available in the laboratory.

Activities

• Research and development:
• Testing the machinability of new materials and new cutting tools, etc.
• The development of new machining processes
• Industrial problems solving
• Basic research in the field of production technologies.
• Lectures on the I-III. Bologna degree of the study on the faculty of mechanical engineering
• Professional seminars for industry
