The GEMS card is a rental card that you can borrow from the library of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana and then exchange for the equipment you have reserved through this site. This system enables a borrowing process that respects limitations regarding the collection and management of personal information, while at the same time ensuring borrower accountability.
Personal information about the borrower is handled exclusively by the library.

Borrowing process:
- Find the item you want to borrow.
- Reserve the item. You must be logged in as a user to do this. Registration requires administrator approval and may take some time.
- Borrow a GEMS card from the library of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana.
- Pick up the reserved item in exchange for the GEMS card.
- When you return the borrowed item, it is exchanged back for your GEMS card.
- Finally, return the GEMS card to the library.
